Success in Numbers

slide4Legendary football coach Vince Lombardi once said “Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work.” HRES sat down with Raphael’s team to find out what makes their team successful.

HRES: What is Team Raphael’s business philosophy?
RA: Our philosophy is simply to present the facts, attributes, and limitations of a property as accurately and concisely as possible, thus establishing a valuation based on these attributes. This practice has enabled us to bring both buyers and sellers to a similar mindset which is the foundation for cutting a deal.

HRES: What are the benefits of working as a team?
RA: The benefits of working as a team are amazing,  especially as most of our communications link the whole team together. Often answers to questions can be provided by team members. Our turn-around time on information requested is thus accelerated and makes us a more efficient machine.

HRES: Bragging rights… Tell us about one of your listings.
RA: I can’t; I’ll have to tell you about two. We are so pleased to have been picked to represent 45 Moses, a special Southampton Village compound built by Cavallo Builders that includes pool house, guest cottage and fantastically finished lower level, which includes a wonderful wine cellar, sauna and gym. It sets a new benchmark in design and finishes. I was also very pleased to have been picked by world renowned architect, Costas Kondylis, to represent him in the sale of his ever so unique Black Barn, a modernly renovated potato barn that boasts a mini vineyard, apple orchard, and indoor parking for 10 cars. It is a fantastic out of the ordinary residence.

HRES: What would be Team Raphael’s greatest achievement?
RA: Our greatest achievement is that of running a smooth, organized and efficient selling machine. We all know our spot on the team, and we work well together as a coordinated sports team with practiced movements and a level of efficiency unequaled in the marketplace.

HRES: If your team could have one super human power, what would it be?
RA: If we could all fly, it would save us so much time especially in the summer months beleaguered by traffic, and we could all find more freedom to list and sell more houses..super-vision to see into the future wouldn’t hurt either.

HRES: Raphael, we hear you’re a Samba drummer.  Where and when can we go hear you play?
RA: Truth is I put drumming on the back burner for the past few years but we used to play on Sagg Main Beach every Monday evening just before sunset. Escola do Samba BOOM still plays there on Monday nights and I urge everyone to enjoy one of the nicest weekly events in the Hamptons.
