Derek Jeter Lists Upstate Castle

By HRES Staff Writer - June 28, 2018

Former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter is selling his upstate Greenwood Lake castle for $15 million. The Yankees legend paid $425,000 for the property, located 50 miles north of NYC, 15 years ago.
Known as Tiedemann Castle, it features stone walls, infinity pool and a replica of the Statue of Liberty. The 12,000 sq. ft. castle has nearly 700 feet of shoreline and has been lovingly restored with unparalleled attention to detail. The property includes a 24 room main house, four kitchens, a lagoon, boat house, elevator, and much more.
According to the NY Post, the stone castle has long ties to Jeter’s family — his grandfather Sonny Connors, the adopted son of John and Julia Tiedemann, who purchased it in 1952, grew up there.
Jeter retired from the Yankees in 2014. He’s now co-owner and CEO of the Miami Marlins.
