Hollywood A-Lister’s Further Lane Home Finally Sells
We’re not sure why former Tinseltown uber-agent Sandy Gallin’s gorgeous property on Further Lane took so long to sell. Having lingered on the market for years at circa $24 million, the estate has sold for its latest ask at $18.9 million.
While the interior is an ode to tastefulness, the 2.1-acre grounds are truly a work of art – boasting four out buildings including a wood-paneled yoga studio/gym and a large pergola-covered living area replete with sofas and dining table fit for a royal feast.
During Gallin’s illustrious career he represented such mega talents as Cher, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, Whoopi Goldberg and Mariah Carey. But he segued into house flipping while still in La La Land where he created abodes for the likes of entertainment mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg.
When Gallin, who died last spring, designed a home he was “part executive producer, part set designer, part decorator, part picker, part psychologist,” wrote art critic Ingrid Sischy in Architectural Digest.
Gallin’s friend, Linda Haugevik of Douglas Elliman held the listing.
