Billy Joel Cuts The Price Of His Palm Beach Mansion
Sag Harbor songster Billy Joel is no longer in a Palm Beach state of mind. The piano man has shaved more than $3 million off the ask of his over-the-top Spanish Colonial mansion in . . . actually Manalapan – a tiny town abutting Palm Beach that has been declared by Forbes to have the wealthiest zip code in the country. Perhaps that’s because there are so few residents, only 321 the last time the census was taken.
The 9,000-square-foot mansion on two strategically placed acres between the ocean and Intracoastal Waterway is asking $16.9 million, down from $20 million when it was first listed in 2015. The crooner purchased the property in 2014 for just under $12 million
There are seven bedrooms, 6.5 full baths and a lavish club room in the main house, waterfront guest house, gorgeous pool with decorative spa, cabana and Intracoastal dockage. Our favorite spot in the house? A cozy upstairs porch overlooking the ocean. A place where he and his wife can remain just the way they are.
