The Body Electric

We are electric beings. Our energy is electromagnetic in nature which means that everything that happens in our body happens because of an electromagnetic exchange between cells. A disruption in this energy exchange causes impaired cellular metabolism. This means unhealthy cells. Proper cell function is the backbone of our health. When our cells are unhealthy, we are unhealthy. More importantly, when the electromagnetic exchange stops, we stop. Like a battery that needs to be charged, our cells need a charge too. We live in stressful times. EMFs, pollution, and pesticides, as well as plain old-fashioned stress, are rampant in our current culture. As a result, we get worn down and our batteries get depleted. When our batteries run low, we are more susceptible to a multitude of diseases including diabetes, autoimmune disorders, atherosclerosis, cancer, neuropathy, and infertility.

Enter PEMF therapy. PEMF Therapy might just be the best thing you have never heard of. PEMF, which stands for Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy, is a device that uses high intensity, short duration pulses that stimulate the electrical and chemical processes which promote self-healing. It does this by enhancing cell-to-cell communication. Using PEMF therapy is like recharging your body’s batteries. The stimulation the cells receive from this dynamic therapy increases the efficiency of oxygen delivery to the cells, which increases circulation throughout the body.

PEMF is like the coconut oil of therapies. There is no ailment that it can’t help to relieve. Because PEMF enhances cell function it helps your body to run better. This amazing, yet little-known therapy, has been used for decades. PEMF was originally developed by NASA to aid astronauts in their recovery from bone density losses and muscle atrophy as a result of long periods of time in space. For those of us on earth, its benefits are even more wide-spread. PEMF therapy has been studied extensively and has been shown to be supportive for surgical recovery, wound healing, inflammation reduction, osteoporosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia and even depression. Current research shows that its effects on even debilitating neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s are promising. It creates this effect by activating intracellular mechanisms that allow for greater uptake of nutrients and a greater delivery of oxygen throughout the body. Best of all? This therapy causes a release of feel-good endorphins. Endorphins, which are chemicals that help relieve stress and pain, are also known to support immune system function. This means better mood, less pain and a more efficient immune response. Who doesn’t want that?

PEMF therapy is typically done in 30-90 minute sessions. 30 minute sessions are specifically for acute injury like a sprain or a break. 60 minute sessions are most common, and are for whole body support, while 90 minute sessions are for full body plus injury support. Adjunct inhaled therapies like oxygen and hydrogen can further increase PEMF’s benefits.

So, plug-in and charge-up! Find out how good your body is designed to feel.
