Jackie O’s East Hampton Childhood Home Is In Contract

By HRES Staff Writer - January 11, 2018

The historic Hamptons estate where Jackie Kennedy Onassis spent childhood summer is in contract, according to the New York Post. Called Lasata, a Native American word meaning “place of peace,” it was certainly a refuge where the former First Lady found solace with her nurturing paternal grandparents, the Bouviers.

The sellers are Reed Krakoff (former prime mover at Coach and currently Tiffany’s chief creative officer), and his interior designer wife, Delphine, who purchased the property in 2007 for $20MM. The most recent ask was $29.99.

The property is actually comprised of two parcels, both in contract. The main property is seven acres at 121 Further Lane with a mansion featuring grand rooms. It was designed by prominent architect Arthur Jackson in 1917 and renovated extensively by the Krakoffs.

The other parcel at 40 Further Lane measures four acres and includes a grass tennis court. Its most recent ask was $11.99MM.

The listing brokers were Carol Nobbs and Eileen O’Neill of Douglas Elliman.
