Retreat to Relaxation at Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos

The sense of arrival at Le Blanc Spa Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico is extraordinary. You’re greeted with a flute of creamy coconut milk by a welcoming staff dressed in head-to-toe white; inhaling deeply to take in the resort’s fresh signature scent, you’re transported into relaxation mode. It’s a feast for the senses, and that’s to say nothing of the views—from the open-air lobby, a marble walkway flanked by saguaro cacti leads your eye straight to the cerulean sea.

Opened in spring 2018 on the southern tip of Baja California, the property is located 25 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport. The drive feels more like a trek through the desert than to the beach, so the wow moment happens as you pull into the porte cochère. Embracing the art of excellent service and minimalism, this adults-only, all-inclusive resort takes luxury to great heights. With an all-white design aesthetic complemented by indigenous plants like cactus and agave, every space shifts the focus to the outdoor landscape.

Small details, such as cool washcloths upon check-in and room-key wristbands, emphasize Le Blanc’s commitment to ensuring an unforgettable guest experience. Though you’ll likely not spend a lot of time in your guest room, given the pools, spa and restaurants that await, each accommodation is lavishly appointed with butler service, custom aromatherapy, Bulgari bath amenities, a pillow menu and a selection of sumptuous bath salts.

You have seven dining options to choose from—and each are a far cry from the all-inclusive buffets of the past. Snack on sushi at Blanc Asia, enjoy seafood risotto at Blanc Italia, savor a slice at Blanc Pizza or indulge in a seven-course French tasting menu at Lumiere. We wouldn’t blame you for sitting down to every meal at Blanc Ocean, an open-air restaurant just off the beach, where, in spring, you might spot a whale or two as you feast upon the catch of the day (don’t forget to order tequila cream for dessert).

If it’s a party scene you seek, look elsewhere; the atmosphere at Le Blanc is one meant for couples or a serene escape with close friends. You’ll easily get used to days filled with poolside lounging and visits to Le Blanc Spa, among the largest in the region with 25 treatment rooms. Hours melt together when you’re relaxing in the hydrotherapy area, featuring saunas, ice rooms, and warm and cool pools. There’s also a state-of-the art fitness facility on site, with Technogym equipment and daily classes like spinning and Pilates.

Adventurous types can get their fix by heading into nearby Cabo San Lucas for the day (a 20-minute drive), or booking excursions like a sunset sail or tour of historic San Jose. No visit to Cabo is complete without a boat ride around the famous Arch, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Gulf of California. Don’t forget a real camera (you’ll likely spot sea lions sunbathing on the rocks), and relive the memories over Coronas at the famous Cabo Wabo bar in town before heading back to the resort.
