Campbell Stables, Bridgehampton’s posh 20 plus acre, South of the Highway equestrian estate, has hit the market for $40M. Owner, shoe shah Bob Campbell, only opened the farm with its 27 stalls, 14 paddocks, three outdoor rings, viewing stands, and 15,000 square foot indoor ring, in 2014. We also hear that there are a pair of manicured fields just right for polo. Did we mention there are veterinarian and manager’s offices and staff housing? A Surgical Solution
Ellen Pompeo, whose 14th season of Grey’s Anatomy is currently airing on TV, has put her Sag Harbor home on the market for $3.79M. After buying the property in 2011 and tearing down the existing structure, the actress built a 2,400 square foot, four bedroom, four bath modern farmhouse with open floor plan, double-height ceilings and chef’s kitchen. “I was looking to do something modern and hip and young,” she told Architectural Digest. Movie-ing Along
The folks behind raising funds to rebuild Sag Harbor’s iconic movie theater, which was destroyed in a 2016 fire, have managed to surpass their goal of $8M. Both a $1.4M state grant and an anonymous $500,000 donation helped to push the funds over the edge. We look forward to the new building, which will house an art movie house, private screening room, and cafe. The new sound system and state-of-the-art projection equipment will make the new-fangled place even better than the old 1930s built cinema.

Please Sir, I Want More
Billionaire Ron Perelman is seeking 18 – count them! – 18 variances to reverse code violations and legalize structures that already exist on his 58 acre East Hampton fiefdom, The Creeks. The violations entail structures that were built without permits and were discovered in 2012 when a volunteer firefighter who is now the village’s building inspector was called to the property for a fire. The highly devout Perelman hopes to legalize the enlargement of an accessory building housing a shul. He also wants the okay on 28,407 square feet of combined floor area for his main house. A more reasonable 26,236 square feet is the legally pre-existing total.

Innkeeper Wanted
A Hampton Bays waterfront inn, originally built in 1857, is on the market for $4.75M. The 4,000 square foot, 13 room hotel is called The Inn Spot. The property includes cottages, restaurant, bar and an auxiliary building that could be used for staff quarters. The Shinnecock Bay sited property also features 140 feet of bulk-head and a 125 foot dock. Listed by Elizabeth Capozzoli of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

Harry’s House
The price of a modern glass house, which was designed and built by iconic local architect, Harry Bates (currently of Bates Masi Architects), has been lowered to $995,000 from its original price of $1.2M earlier this year. The 1972-built edifice sits on just shy of an acre in the area around Northwest Harbor. With 1,200 square feet of space, the double height living areas are surrounded by windows and cedar beams. Food Glorious Food
We applaud the powers that be in East Hampton who have voted to spend $4 million from the Community Preservation Fund to guarantee food-only farming on an almost 30 acre agricultural swathe in Wainscott. These “enhanced rights” prevent the property from being developed as yet another landscape nursery or horse farm. Hallelujah. Let’s keep the suburban encroachment at bay.

Kardashian Klout?
The North Sea abode rented by the Kardashians a few years ago has had its price slashed. The $14.95M price asked in 2015 is now $11.95M, further evidence that a celebrity name doesn’t guarantee a high price. (Think Matt Lauer.)
