“Creating a beautiful home is a collaborative art, the outcome of countless aesthetic judgments, design decisions, and carefully crafted details, from the proportion and character of rooms to the interplay of custom furniture, fabrics, and heirloom objects,” shares East End designer Liliane Hart, whose recent inspiration for the Master Bedroom in the Hampton Designer Showhouse [built by Bodenchak Design and Build] was the natural beauty of the Hamptons. “I wanted to create a luxurious sanctuary in this stunning house with a color palette reflective of the sea, sand, sky and farmlands,” shares designer Hart, whose sense of style and taste is both intuitive and well-educated having grown up in a classic American house in which art, antiques, and everyday furnishings kept casual company. Drawing upon visual charm and easygoing elegance, Liliane creates a unifying aesthetic for each home, tailoring interiors that balance classic structure and fresh accents. HRES takes a tour of Hart’s beautiful Master Bath at the showhouse, below.
“It was an incredible experience working with Traditional Home and all the talented designers in the showhouse. Even though all the designers had different objectives for their rooms, we thought the house looked beautifully cohesive.”
“The common theme running through the house this year seemed to be an emphasis on relaxation and serenity,” says Hart. “The designs throughout had a soft color palettes with plenty of texture and natural materials.”
