Corcoran’s Gary DePersia tells us he once gave a buyer a generator – valued at $20,000 – as a closing gift. For a customer that bought a $20 million property he gave leather seating for the home theater.

Following a fabulous summer yard sale, Betsey Johnson, designer of outrageous fashions, is selling the East Hampton house she has shared with her daughter, Lulu. Price tag: $100,000. The paper implied that this was a huge amount to pay.
It’s been a fantastic summer in the Hamptons, with the real estate market very dynamic. With prices at an all time high, lots of inventory, and new construction booming, the Hamptons market is strong. Traditionally, the fall season has always been a busy time for Hamptons real estate.
