HRES: Cynthia, as founding member of The Sag Harbor Booster Foundation can you tell us about it?
CB: Over the past 5 years the SHBF has successfully made strides to enrich the extra-curricular clubs and the kids of Sag Harbor. Our current fundraiser prize is a $5,000 Gift certificate Disney Raffle selling for $20 per ticket. Raffles can be purchased by contacting myself or contacting sagharborboosterfoundation.org. The tickets will be sold in Sag Harbor every Saturday in October and November 11-3pm on Main Street near Sag Harbor Liquors. At graduation each year we award 2 students a $1,000 Scholarship. Most recently we provided a picnic barbeque and concession
at Pierson’s Homecoming day which included a parade and varsity sports at Mashashamuet Park all day long. In addition, we donated $100 to each class participating. We are active participants of Sag Harbor’s Harbor Fest (September) and Harbor Frost(February), We will be revving up for a most successful 4th Annual Quiz Show evening of fun and dinner to be held this March 2015.

HRES: What has been your most memorable real estate deal?
CB: My most recent memorable deal is a 7,000SF waterfront and vineyard front property in Sagaponack that, believe it or not, is a short sale, and has taken almost a year to close It has ended up on the auction block twice before the deal has circled back to my ultimate buyer.

HRES: What neighborhood do you consider to be hot right now?
CB: Sag Harbor and Montauk are so hot right now. Sag Harbor’s Main Street was just named in the “Top 10 Main Streets” in the US. I am finding that any property priced accurately in the Hamptons could be considered hot as it will sell quickly. Interest rates are still low and job creation is still
increasing, so real estate continues to be a valuable investment.

HRES: Can you tell us what makes the Hamptons so enjoyable during the fall and winter months?
CB: There are almost as many activities to participate in during the fall and winter as the summer, but at a more low key pace. September and October is stacked with Harbor Fest in Sag Harbor, The Septemberfest in Southampton, The Seafood and Music Festivals in Montauk, The International Film Festival in October, dining at restaurants that were so crowded over the summer, pumpkin picking, boating on the bay, fall fishing or just walking on the beach taking in the spectacular fall
sunrise and sunsets.

HRES: Can you tell us something special about one of your current listings?
CB: I am finding that buyers want to be in close proximity to something that suits their particular lifestyle, whether it be close to or in the village, on or close to beaches, water or near vineyards, farms and reserves. I am currently representing some spectacular high-end builders, Curto and
Curto and Michael Frank Building who are focusing on new construction in the villages/towns of Sag Harbor, Montauk and Bridgehampton to capture the village lifestyle.
