Fashion designer Helmut Lang was rumored to be listing his entire East Hampton compound on Tyson Lane earlier this spring for a reported $100 million. According to Mansion Global, Lang has decided to list two of his three parcels with an asking price of $65 million.
Lang purchased the entire oceanfront compound in 1999 for $15.5 million, and has used the property for both his personal residence and his creative studio, reports Behind the Hedges.
One of the properties that is on the market is an empty plot that spans about an acre in size, while the other 1.6-acre parcel has a four-car garage and two waterview cottages. The main house within the compound is not on the market, although Mansion Global reported that Lang is “open to negotiating the main house as part of a deal.”
Saunders real estate agent Jane Gill is representing the listing, which is not yet active on the Saunders website.
