HRES: As two very successful brokers, what is your business philosophy?
Enzo & Fredrik: Both Fredrik and I believe that luxury has no boundaries. Our clients and customers are the same and we are both strategically positioned where luxury buyers and sellers are. Our business philosophy is simple: we believe that if you treat clients and customers like family, they keep coming back and referring you. It’s important to be an advisor and educate them about the market. Buyers and sellers have to trust that you know what you’re doing. In the end, it’s all about credibility and high-end exposure.
HRES: Tell us how this business union came about, why partner up with each other?
E&F: The relationship was really created organically. We interact often and it was quickly obvious that the buyers, sellers, investors and renters that Fredrik is working with in Manhattan are the same people that we’re working with in the Hamptons. It made sense to align the #1 team in Manhattan with the #1 team in the Hamptons. Again, our luxury markets know no boundaries.
HRES: Why do people find the Hamptons real estate market so desirable?
E&F: The Hamptons offers a sophisticated lifestyle, a relaxing escape after a long work week. It’s also home to world-class beaches and charming villages only 90 minutes by car from the world’s financial capital. It’s a place to make new friends while hanging out with friends you know from the city, Westchester, the Gold Coast, Palm Beach, or New Jersey. People ask me about the prices of homes in the Hamptons and if they should be concerned with overpaying. My philosophy is if you’re going to live here – and enjoy it with family and friends – for 5 or 10 years, I’ve been proven right time and time again: Hamptons real estate is the best IRA out there.
HRES: You’re both Douglas Elliman brokers. What are the benefits?
E&F: Credit goes to Dottie Herman and Howard M. Lorber (the CEO’s of Douglas Elliman) for creating the mindset among our brokers that DE is “one company” – not 70+ competing offices spread across the country. At DE, we realize that we ALL succeed if our company grows and dominates the luxury market, whether it be in NYC, Westchester, Miami, Beverly Hills/LA or Aspen.
HRES: Tell us about some of your current listings you have together?
E&F: I’d like to tell you about two listings (see below) that Fredrik and I have partnered on:
191 Mid Ocean Drive in Bridgehampton; I’m very excited because we have a pending deal on this 1.5 acre oceanfront property which I can’t discuss right now — but stay tuned for more details. It proves that this alliance is already working extremely well.
673 Sagaponack Road in Sagaponack is very exciting because it borders 25 acres of preserved land so anyone living there is guaranteed to have forever views of open fields. It’s in the heart of desirable Sagaponack South, near the iconic Post Office and the “hub” of this charming village. It’s brand new, stunning construction by master builder Talo Builders and features amenities like a finished lower level, theater, elevator, and indoor/outdoor fireplaces. A very unique feature about the property is that the original structure on the lot was a landmarked and historic home which the builder has now restored and connected as a 1,800 SF guest house to the new 7,500 SF main home via an underground tunnel. How cool is that?
