Enzo Morabito: Hamptons Team Leader

Unknown

Get into the mind of Enzo Moribito, one of today’s most successful Hamptons real estate brokers.

Q: As one of the more successful brokers in the Hamptons, what is it that sets you apart from the pack?
A: I am the only broker in the Hamptons with teams on both sides of the Shinnecock Canal. Because of this, my team and I have an intimate understanding of the inventory and sales trends throughout the Hamptons. My long-standing and talented team at Douglas Elliman’s Bridgehampton office assists me with our clients and customers from Southampton to Montauk, and my other team at our Westhampton Beach office helps me with clients and customers from Hampton Bays to the Moriches (with a strong focus on Quogue and Westhampton Beach homes). That knowledge and our proven sales track record has repeatedly earned us the title of #1 Team in the Hamptons.

Q: Can you tell us about some of your more notable sales?
A: Truthfully, every sale is notable and memorable in its own way, whether it’s a $1 million sale or a $30 million sale. I have the privilege of working with many top people in the media, publishing and financial industries — and I respect their privacy. There is an unspoken confidentiality agreement when someone works with me (unless they want the publicity, that is).

Q: How would you describe your selling style?
A: As any buyer who has worked with me will attest, my selling style is very low-key and no pressure. I believe in building long-term relationships and educating a buyer so they can find the best possible home in the best possible location at the best possible price. I’ve been known to talk a customer out of a house if I don’t feel it’s going to be a good investment in the long-term. If it takes a few years to find the perfect Hamptons home, I’m okay with that. I’m big on loyalty and I’m happy to say that I have many loyal customers.

Q: What do you like to do for fun in the Hamptons….after selling real estate, of course?
A: Real estate is fun for me! It’s a 24/7 passion. But I do place a high value on family, so I enjoy taking my 8-year-old son to the beach, going for bike rides and to movies. I also have 3 grandkids who keep me busy, and my wife and I have date nights so we can reconnect and enjoy the Hamptons finest restaurants.

Q: What is the most challenging aspect of being a real estate agent?
A: Working with sellers who tell you they want to sell their home but have a completely unrealistic expectation about the true market value of their house. I tell them, “You can’t be a little bit pregnant. Either you want to sell or you don’t.” If you ARE a real seller, then you have to trust that I know what I’m doing. I promise I’ll get you the best possible price for your home – but you can’t will a price.
