Brand New Sagaponack Home Goes Into Contract After Just Six Months
Featured on the August front cover of Hamptons Real Estate Showcase, the newly built modern home at 139 Seascape Lane in south-of-the-highway Sagaponack has found a buyer and is currently in contract. The Bates + Masi-designed house has 5,000 square feet of living space, five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms across nearly an acre of land. Features include high ceilings, wood details throughout, a wide open floor plan, and walls of glass windows and doors, bringing the exterior inside. Outside, the property also has a 665-square-foot pool house, an elevated infinity edge pool and spa, and an outdoor kitchen, making the estate a great place for entertaining as well as living. According to the Zillow price history, the property was purchased in 2016 for $5.5 million. The new build went on the market in April for $17,995,000, but that price was reduced down to $15,995,000 in August. A contract was signed earlier this week. Ryan Serhant of Nest Seekers brought the buyer. Christopher Covert of Saunders Real Estate represented the listing. [Saunders]
Mel Brooks’ Former Southampton Home Immediately Finds A Buyer
The former bayfront beach house of actor and comedian Mel Brooks at 1421 Meadow Lane in Southampton came on the market for $4,995,000 less than a month ago on September 23. By October 8, a contract had been signed and the 1.33-acre property is currently pending a sale. The property’s existing beachfront cottage was built in 1960 and could use some modernizing (although it’s in decent shape to begin with), but we wouldn’t be surprised if the new buyers tear it down to make room for something brand spankin’ new. With 2,300 square feet of living space, the shingled abode includes four bedrooms and three and a half baths, water views from every room, a recently renovated kitchen with marble countertops, and a deck outside with an outdoor shower. Residents are just across the street from ocean beaches. Michaela Keszler from Douglas Elliman represents the listing. [Douglas Elliman]
