Shaun Woodword, the former secretary of state of Northern Ireland, has recently put his Sag Harbor home on the market with an asking price of $8,995,000.
The Lanford Wilson House at 23 Suffolk Street was purchased by the government official from across the pond back in 2013 for $2 million and he recruited David Kleinberg and Martin Sosa to renovate the home, which dates back to 1840. According to the original report by Mansion Global, the nearly two-century-old home had “been basically untouched since it was built.”
The home now stands 6,200 square feet with five bedrooms, four full baths, and two half baths on and 0.4-acre property. Features include high ceilings, period details, hand-blown double-glazed windows, wide plank oak flooring throughout, fireplaces, a mahogany and oak staircase, and a chef’s eat-in kitchen. Outside, there’s a bluestone terrace, an outdoor fireplace, a pool, and a spa. There’s also a finished lower level with a home gym, wine cellar, and a home theater.
