Sag Harbor’s Famous Gingerbread House has Found a Buyer

Located at 133 Main Street in Sag Harbor’s iconic village, the Gingerbread House — a 19th century Victorian Gothic style home with commercial zoning — has found a buyer after just two months on the sales market. It is also known as the Hedges House more formally.

Dating back to 1870, the property became available for sale in March for $5 million. Over the last two months, the price has not changed, and according to the Zillow price history, it last sold in 2012 for $1.45 million. The address is currently home to commercial businesses La Maisonette and a Brown Harris Stevens office, but the listing claims that it could also be used as a retail space.

Inside the 2,350-square-foot structure, there are five rooms, wraparound porches, and a separate two-bedroom apartment upstairs. The 133 Main Street address is 0.2 acres in size.

Simon Harrison Real Estate is representing the sellers in the transaction. We’re curious to see what it will finally close for.
