The Hamptons’ First Glamping Experience Comes to Cedar Point County Park

While most people who come out to the Hamptons for a weekend away enjoy spending their time in an amenity-filled hotel room or a stylish Airbnb, the luxurious comfort of traditional accommodation just isn’t for everyone. This Memorial Day Weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a different kind of stay in East Hampton’s Cedar Point County Park: glamping.

Glamping — or, glamorous camping — is coming to the East End via Terra Glamping, a Brooklyn-based company with hotels in the Catskills and the Rockaways.

But unlike regular camping, this experience doesn’t come cheap. Pricing starts at $300 per night.

The East Hampton location will have 30 fully furnished sleeping tents fully equipped with a queen-sized bed and water views over Gardiner’s Bay. Tenants will have access to communal lounge tents, a dining tent, bathroom and hot shower facilities, and outdoor amenities such as a fire pit and hammocks — plus, they’ll get a continental breakfast every morning and have the option to partake in activities such as yoga, movie nights, and stand-up paddle boarding.

Reservations can be made for Friday, May 24 through the last weekend of October.

In a press release, CEO Rebecca Martin wrote: “The outdoor adventure meets modern luxury aesthetic of glamping is an ideal fit for East Hampton and we’re thrilled to be the first company to offer this new option for seasonal getaways to area vacationers and residents alike.”
