Good News Gossip About Our Notable Friends And Neighbors
Summer has ended, but the Hamptons are still hotter than ever. This year seemed to be the one that brought out a million new (or at least new to us) faces, notably including Ed Sheeran, Lauren Graham, Anjelica Huston, and Salt-N-Pepa, to name a few. We’re hoping to catch even more fresh looks this fall during the Hamptons International Film Festival, which takes from October 5 through October 12.

Sharing Stories
Now in its 31st year, the annual festival is focusing on socially impactful films, such as Fresh Kills, directed by East Hampton’s Jennifer Esposito. The HIFF Spotlight and Views from Long Island Signature Program feature film, serves as her debut as a director.
Starring Esposito, Odessa A’zion, Emily Bader and Annabella Sciorra, it puts a twist on the usual mob film. Instead of the expected gender norms, Fresh Kills focuses on how the brutal business impacts the women operating within the “family.”
Shedding Light
Whilst on the subject of socially impactful films, habitual Hamptons summer resident Leonardo DiCaprio has what is expected to be a BIG movie coming up. The star, who rented a lavish spread in Sagaponack this summer, stars with Lily Gladstone and Montauk’s Robert DeNiro in director Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.
The historical epic, the sixth feature film collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, sheds light on the Osage murders of the 1920s. It’s a little-known true story — until now — about dozens of tribal members who were murdered for their oil rights. The film, which lays greed and conventional acceptance of white domination bare, is sure to be an awards contender. Can’t wait to see it!
Pregnant Pause
Emma Roberts, who was seen out and about quite a bit on the South Fork this summer, returns to star in the newest installment of the American Horror Story series. This time, the long-running F/X horror anthology is based on the novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine.
Roberts plays a woman desperate to have children but can’t conceive. Also featuring Kim Kardashian and Cara Delevingne for this go-round, American Horror Story: Delicate is the 12th installment of the Emmy- and Golden Globe award-winning series, created by Ryan Murphy and Amagansett’s Brad Falchuk.
Ladling Up Love
Belated chef kisses to Rosanna and Elaina Scotto, for their book Meatballs, Mangia & Memories. We just found the book and love it!
The Southampton-based sisters, who host an Instagram live show together while not anchoring Good Day New York (Rosanna) and running Fresco by Scotto (Elaina), collaborated on this book as a celebration of family, food and fun. The memoir-slash-cookbook features more than 100 recipes of some of the most popular dishes at their family’s 30-year-old Manhattan-based restaurant. Also included are plenty of tales of family traditions, celebrity restaurant guests, and the ins and outs of the New York hospitality business.
Long Exposure
We’ve also just picked up Phillip Lehans’ Village Beaches, which is chock-full of gorgeous East Hampton beach spreads. In it, Lehans has captured some of the most ethereal and gorgeous naturalistic shots we’ve seen in a long while.
The book features five beaches and 160 stunning color and monochromatic panoramic images. All of which were captured by Lehans with his pinhole camera, which is basically a miniaturized camera obscura. Super duper cool.

Standing Ovation
Lastly, condolences to the friends and family of the late, great Jimmy Buffett, who passed on September 1 at his home in Sag Harbor after a four-year-long battle with Merkel Cell Skin Cancer.
Beloved by fans all over the world, the prolific musician, New York Times bestselling author, and successful entrepreneur was also an integral member of his East End community. He will be sorely missed.
