This year on the South Fork, let someone else do Thanksgiving’s heavy lifting. Here are four local establishments that are doing everything and more to make sure that this holiday is one for the books. Breathe a sigh of relief and eat like royalty with help from some of your Hamptons friends.
Red Horse Market
Though this East Hampton market has long been known for their handmade mozzarella, their specialty foods are also just as compelling. This year, they are offering two Thanksgiving packages, designed to feed 6 to 8 people and 10 to 12 people. The former, at $225, includes a 10 to 14 pound bird, mashed potatoes, creamed onions, sweet potatoes, a vegetable medley, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and gravy. The larger version, at $325, also comes with dinner rolls, baked clams or soup, and an apple or pumpkin pie. Customers can add on appetizers, like shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, and stuffed mushrooms, at a la carte prices. Orders must be placed by Sunday, November 22. (631) 324-9500
Lulu’s Kitchen & Bar
You can dine in at this Sag Harbor restaurant, but if you prefer the comfort of your couch, Lulu’s will do take out for you this year, too. For $140 (two people) or $280 (four people), enjoy roast turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, Brussels sprouts, stuffing, gravy, a fresh-baked baguette, house salad, and apple croissant crisp. The restaurant will also offer add-ons, like canapés by the dozen. (631) 725-0900
Art of Eating
Have Thanksgiving cooked for you through this Bridgehampton-based caterer. Locally sourced turkeys are brined and are packed with extra broth so that you can home-baste while you heat your turkey. In addition to hors d’oeuvres, cheese plates, salads, soups, and snacks, the catering company offers slow-roasted turkeys from Mecox Farms, bone-in Berkshire ham with black currant glaze, marinated filet of beef with Madeira sauce, cornbread dressing with sausage, country herb stuffing with caramelized Vidalia onions, giblet gravy, creamy buttermilk mashed potatoes, traditional cranberry sauce with sour cherries, five-spice pumpkin pie, chocolate soufflé cake, pecan-almond tart, macaroni and cheese, grilled vegetable lasagna, and more. In addition to a traditional whole, brined turkey, opt for Wagyu braised beef, filet of beef tenderloin, confit turkey breast, wild Alaskan salmon, smoked turkey leg, or sliced steak with warm beurre blanc. For sides, there is everything and anything you can imagine, from roasted Brussels sprouts to a Mecox Dairy cheese platter to a cranberry and pear galette. Prices are a la carte and food is delivered to your home in time for the big day. Pre-ordered Thanksgiving meals must be placed before Wednesday, November 25. https://www.heritagearistocrat.com/
