Southampton’s Jule Pond Just Dropped Its Price By $30M

The Henry Ford Estate, also known as Jule Pond, went on the sales market for $175 million in August of 2017, making it the most expensive home available for sale in the Hamptons and one of the most expensive residential listings in the United States. Recently, it dropped its price by $30 million, leaving it up for sale for $145 million.

The property was once the main estate that was part of the Ford family’s larger compound known as Fordune that encompassed 235 acres of land. In 1964 when Henry Ford II and Anne McDonnell divorced, McDonnell held the title to the property and broke it up into smaller parcels.

The current estate spans a total of 42 acres and has the most direct ocean frontage of any residential property in the Hamptons, spanning over 1,000 linear feet. It is also surrounded by three different ponds.

After a 2008 renovation, the main house now stands a massive 20,000 square feet in size with 12 beds and 12 baths. Features are endless, including a chef’s kitchen, a library, and staff quarters with a separate entrance.
