Extraordinary Residence on Sagg Main Street

Sagaponack House began in the mid 1970s when architect Ted Williams moved three small barns to the property and connected them to make his home. The largest became the main living, dining and kitchen space. Two smaller barns became a bedroom suite, and a studio. in the mid 1980s a new owner added a bedroom wing, addition, and a pool. The home was again updated, with the kitchen, dining and main entry turned into a double height space. The smaller barn was moved and became a guest house. The more recent structure now connects the two original barns and the bedroom wing. Three world class architects have been involved in the creation of this extraordinary home. The award winning residence was updated by Christof : Finio Architecture and featured in Architectural Digest in January 2017; it was also featured in an article in Introspective Magazine. A new addition added by the current owners was designed by Lucho Marcial, who is currently designing the National Museum of Peru.

In addition to the main house the property currently includes a guest house as well as a pool house. Interiors of the main house feature open living spaces with floor to ceiling brick fireplace, dining and kitchen with marble island, stainless steel countertops and high end stainless appliances. There are large windows and multiple glass doors to the grounds. A soaring two-story great room has wide plank wood floors, wood walls and ceilings and wood-burning fireplace. Spiral stairs ascend to a loft. In the spacious master suite a bedroom with fireplace opens to a terrace and the bath includes a deep soaking tub and shower. Two additional bedrooms share another full bath. The guest house is rustic yet chic, with exposed beams, natural wood, bedroom and bath with glass and tiled shower. WEB# 886095
