Considered by many to be the world’s greatest ever soccer player, Pelé, a native of Brazil, did also consider himself a New Yorker. He owned this waterfront East Hampton home since the 1970’s.
The contemporary six-bedroom home on an acre of land in Springs is located on Clearwater Beach, with a deeded beach and waterside pool and outdoor shower overlooking the water of Hog Creek. The property was recently renovated, and the double-height ceiling and wide deck that runs the length of the home makes it perfect for entertaining.
Corcoran agent Deirdre Jowers, who worked in accordance with Manhattan agent Claudia Saez-Fromm, had the listing. They said that now that Pelé is retired in Brazil, it made more sense for his family to sell the property.
