Hamptons Real Estate Showcase sits down with one of the top producers in the Hamptons, Laura White of Saunders & Associates. Laura gives us her take on the real estate market and what she¹s passionate about.
Q: What makes a listing unique or special?
A: I find that every listing is “special” as after all it is someones home, and each home is as unique as the individual it belongs to. It is my job to highlight the positive values of each property and find that purchaser who shares that same appreciation of the intrinsic value of that location.
Q: What is your favorite Hamptons neighborhood?
A: My past thirty eight years of living and working on the East End I have been lucky to call almost every neighborhood home. Sagaponack were I have lived for the past 20+ years is were I raised my family and in Sagaponack home is where my heart is !
Q: Why did you choose to pursue a career as a Hamptons real estate professional?
A: I first became interested in Real Estate while pursuing graduate studies in Regional Planning.
While working with developers in those early years my direction became clearer as I found I most enjoyed the art of the sale!
Q: What are your greatest passions?
A: My greatest passions are my two daughters and enjoying the life we share here in our beautiful home!
We love all the Hamptons’ has to offer, Sailing in Sag Harbor, boating to the North Fork, tennis at EHIT, hiking the Walking Dunes and most dear to us are those lazy days spent on Beach Lane!
Q: If you could invite anyone to a dinner party, whom would you invite?
A: ulia Child, as long as she was cooking!
Q: What is the best advice you can give a 2nd homebuyer when searching for a vacation home in the Hamptons?
A: Be open minded, explore all options as you never know what you might find in an area you thought was not for you or style of home that was not what you intended on buying!
Q: Can you tell us about some of your more notable sales?
A: My biggest challenge was bringing together 10 plus neighbors to purchase an adjacent farm and save it from further development. That was so very rewarding!
