HRES: How did you get your start in Real Estate?
Vince Horcacitas: I was a tennis pro, playing tournaments all around the world. When I moved to the Hamptons 20 years ago, I worked at the East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club. 15 years ago I decided that it was time to try something else, and I started my career in real estate. I love competition and I love to be the best. That led me to success in real estate and the ability to sell over $1 billion in Hamptons properties along my path.

HRES: What’s selling? (Land, New Construction, Waterfront, etc.)
VH: The market is strong now, so everything sells. The majority of my business comes from selling land and teardowns to the builders in A+ locations.

HRES: Bragging rights.  Tell us about one of your current listings?
VH: The example of a great deal is selling a teardown at 411 Jobs Lane, Bridgehampton. So, now a beautiful waterfront new construction with panoramic creek, bay and ocean views is my listing. It is a contemporary house, with 11,600+/- sq. ft.  of living space, eleven bedrooms, roof deck with breathtaking views of the ocean, three fireplaces, an elevator and a five-car garage. The house is listed for $23.5 million.(see photos above)

HRES: What special new features are home buyers looking for i.e. gyms, safe rooms?
VH: Along with the gym, movie theatre, an elevator, walk-in closets and other important features for the high-end home buyers, people like TVs that come out of the kitchen cabinets nowadays. That’s a pretty new trend.

HRES: Tell us about you…Favorite food, movie & song of all time?
VH: I have Mexican roots and lived in Mexico-City when I was a child for two years, so I really enjoy Mexican food. My favorite song is the “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. “Mission Impossible” is the movie, because if you really want to make something happen, you always find a way, and at the end everything is possible.
