Broker Showcase with Susan Sprott of Sotheby's Intl Realty

slide7Susan has a passion for rare and special properties throughout the Hamptons from Sag Harbor Village to unique waterfront settings in Southampton, Shelter Island and all the way East to Montauk. Her deep knowledge of the area and her eye for new and old treasures has earned her a devoted following of clients and customers.
HRES: Congratulations on the new Sotheby’s International Realty brokerage opening in Sag Harbor! Tell us more.
Susan Sprott: I am thrilled that Sotheby’s International Realty will be on Main Street in Sag Harbor. This is both my home and where I began my real estate career 27 years ago, first at Harpoon Realty and later with Allan Schneider Associates in Sag Harbor. I look forward to being on Main Street and seeing old and new customers, clients, friends and neighbors.

HRES: What is your business philosophy, Susan?
SS: Most important for me is to really understand the needs of my clients and customers. From there, I make use of all of the support and marketing strengths that Sotheby’s International Realty offers so that I can be thorough and effective in providing the best opportunities and delivering successful results.

HRES: Tell us more about your passion, favorite food and favorite music?
SS: I have a passion for discovering beautiful houses and I’m fascinated by all of the architectural styles that can be found in Sag Harbor.  I love soft shell crabs, Indian food. I also love George Harrison’s music!

HRES: Bragging rights. Tell us about one of your current listings?
SS: While I value all of my listings, I currently represent a vintage home on John Street – also known as Writer’s Row – designed for seaside living & entertaining with beautiful gardens & pool. And an art inspired modern home perfect for entertaining in a private Deerfield setting. These properties represent the best of both worlds.

HRES: If I was looking for a summer rental, why would I choose Sag Harbor?
SS: If you rent in Sag Harbor, you will fall in love with Sag Harbor! That’s what happened to me when I first rented here in 1980. This historic whaling port, with its harbor, its unique shops, restaurants, theater & cinema and its winding lanes and welcoming neighbors, is a true haven and home.
