Christie Brinkley’s Sag Harbor Home Sells

Long time Hamptons resident supermodel Christie Brinkley has found a buyer for her historic Sag Harbor waterfront home. The property was listed with Enzo Morabito of Douglas Elliman, who says that the home sold for “very close” to its $17.99 asking price.  It was originally listed in January 2017 for $25 million, with the price being cut to the last asking price of $17.99 million in June 2018. Ms. Brinkley purchased the house in 2004 for $7.15 million, according to PropertyShark records. So, a nice profit was made on the sale. According to the New York Post, Corcoran’s Susan Breitenbach bought the buyer.

Originally built in 1843, the 5,500-square-foot Sag Harbor home boasts five bedrooms—one of which is nestled on the third floor next to a study and storage nook. The first floor features multiple dining areas, a massive soapstone and marble kitchen, and a mudroom. On the second floor are the four remaining bedrooms. Three have en-suite baths, including the master suite which also has its own sitting room and a private terrace.

The historic home is adorned with huge columns on both facades and sits on more than four acres of waterfront land facing the bay and Sag Harbor to the east. According to Mr. Morabito, the new owners are expected to gut the historic home and restore it to its original grandeur.

Brinkley still owns another home in the Hamptons, her Tower Hill estate in Bridgehampton, which is on the market for $29.5 million – also listed with Enzo Morabito of Douglas Elliman.
