As we welcome in 2016, Sandy Gallin’s 466 Further Lane “will welcome in a new owner this year”, predicts listing broker Linda Haugevik, of Douglas Elliman.

According to Haugevik, “Sandy Gallin has a passion for creating beautifully designed homes. His ability to recognize properties with something special is unique, similar to his ability to discover and nurture the talents of the world’s most recognized stars of music, film and television”.

For over 30 years, as both an agent and personal manager, Gallin was instrumental in developing the careers of music and entertainment icons Dolly Parton, Cher, Neil Diamond, Olivia Newton-John, The Osmond Brothers, Donny Osmond, Marie Osmond, Mac Davis, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, Patti Labelle, The Pointer Sisters, KC and The Sunshine Band, Petula Clark, Korn and Limp Bizkit. He also managed the careers of Oscar winning actresses Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellwegger, as well as super star comedians Lily Tomlin, Whoopi Goldberg, Paul Lynde, Roseanne, Richard Pryor, Martin Lawrence, Joan Rivers, and Howie Mandell. Gallin has also produced thousands of hours of television variety shows, 26 feature films, and an Academy Award-winning documentary film, which raised the global awareness of AIDS.

After being at the top of the entertainment field, Gallin changed careers after turning 70. He started to design high-end homes as a stress reliever while running his management and production companies. He worked with such stars as Frank Sinatra, Marvin Hamlisch and many more to design their homes and transitioned to his new career when Jeffrey Katzenberg approached him to design his home.

Since then Gallin has orchestrated over 50 major design projects in New York City, Malibu, Beverly Hills and the Hamptons for luminaries such as Florence and Serge Azria, Allen Grubman, Jimmy Iovine and Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg, and has sold his homes – some fully furnished – to Mark Burnett, Marvin Hamlisch, Kenny G and Frank Sinatra, among others.

Many of Gallin’s homes have been published in national design magazines and newspapers including Architectural Digest, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Scott Mitchell is the architect for 466 Further Lane and one of Gallin’s and Haugevik’s best friends. scottmitchellstudio.com. The three worked together on this project and are looking forward to their next one. For more details, and to view Haugevik’s “466” movie, go to 466furtherlane.com. Haugevik remarks, “I had to capture its essence and please the Hollywood moguls, and I think I did. Branded as the celebrity broker, Haugevik rarely kisses and tells. Her relationship with Sandy spans decades and she speaks fondly of him. “It’s always a process working with Sandy, always a production, almost always fun. He is demanding, endearing, creative, and a visionary… and also has a great sense of humor. I love his Christmas party where the stragglers that remain after the Christmas carols surround the piano and we all belt out Broadway tunes.”

When Sandy’s prior house in Sagaponack was for sale, it culminated in a bidding war in the dining room. With four lawyers present, Sandy announced he was leaving to get a manicure and that Linda was in charge. Haugevik remarks, “It’s possible, the sale of 466 might be as dramatic. ”
466 Further Lane is the newest addition to the Gallin career and according to Linda  Haugevik it’s perfected and ready to receive its new occupants, who will only need the keys to move right in. There are even toothbrushes, as EVERY detail has been attended to.
