The incredible oceanfront modern box at 980 Meadow Lane in Southampton has found a buyer. The most recent listing price was $32 million. The home went back on the market in August and a contract was signed in October. The sale closed earlier this month. The house itself is 2,500 square feet in size with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, originally built in 1962. It has panoramic ocean and Shinnecock Bay views with room for a substantial home, oceanside pool, and tennis on a rare 4.12-acre plot of land. New Hamptons Real Estate Listings Site, HamptonsRE.com, Is Live

Many people start their online search for their next Hamptons home or rental on Zillow, Trulia, Out East, or directly on real estate websites. Those in need of a new home can now also go to the brand new HamptonsRE.com, a listings site commissioned by the Hamptons Real Estate Association. The HREA is comprised of the Corcoran Group, Saunders & Associates, Sotheby’s International Realty, Brown Harris Stevens, and Halstead. The website was designed by Michael Gabriel from Gabriel Technology Solutions. The downside is that it looks like the site only will show listings from those five brokerages, thus missing the listings that may be offered through smaller or less popular firms on the East End. However, HREA president Robert Nelson wrote in a press release, “We welcome other Hamptons brokerage firms to join the portal and add their listings to the website.” [Press release]
