Billy Joel’s Former Southampton Office Sells

The Southampton potato and grain barn that once served as an office space for the Piano Man has sold and closed. More recently, the space has hosted the Spur, a co-working space. Originally built in 1884, the building has only had three owners over the last 100 years — the most recent owner has held the deed for the last 45 years. The building was last listed for $2.2 million. It is zoned for retail, light industry, and office. Located directly next to the Southampton train station, the building offers over 7,000 square feet between three levels, period details from the original 19th century construction, arched brick doors, hand-hewn pine floors and beams, and even a working freight elevator. The property is 0.21 acres in size. Douglas Elliman Brenda Giufurta listed the property, and Joseph Savio (also from Elliman) brought the buyer. [Douglas Elliman]

Montauk Compound Near the Ocean is Yours for $7.5M

A 1.9-acre compound walking distance from the ocean in Montauk has just come on the market for $7.5 million. The purchase will include two properties: a property with an existing 2,500-square-foot home, and an empty building parcel that would allow for a residence up to 4,900 square feet in size. Originally built in 1959, the existing home includes four bedrooms and four baths, but the listing suggests building a new home on the property, where a home up to 5,000 square feet with water views could be built. Located at 18 & 22 Maple Street, homeowners will be right across the street from Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Saltwater Spa, and a 3-mile drive from Main Street shops and restaurants. Chris Coleman from Compass Real Estate represents the listing. [Compass]

Cozy Southampton North Sea Home Finds a Buyer

A North Sea home last listed for $1,025,000 has found a buyer and is currently pending a sale. The home — located at 73 Woodland Drive — spans a comfortable 2,300 square feet in size with three bedrooms and three bathrooms on 0.91 acres. The house was built in 1982. Features of the modern home include an open floor plan, a fireplace in the living room, and a master suite with direct outdoor access. There’s also a renovated bathroom, a laundry space, and sliding glass doors that lead outside. Outside, there’s a deck, a heated pool, and one-car garage; plus, owners will have deeded access to Peconic Bay beaches. The home came on the market just last month, and found a buyer just two weeks after coming on the market. It was previously available to rent, according to the Zillow price history. Douglas Elliman agent Susan Hovdesven represented the listing. [Douglas Elliman]
