Mel Brooks’ Former Southampton Home Sells For Full Ask

Actor and comedian Mel Brooks once owned the bayfront home at 1421 Meadow Lane in Southampton, which came on the market earlier this year for $4,995,000. After coming on the market, the property immediately found a buyer and went into contract. It was under contract for just two months before finally selling for the full asking price. Sited on 1.33 acres of land, the 2,300-square-foot home includes four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and water views from every room. There’s also a fireplace in the living room, a large deck, and an outdoor shower. Originally built in 1960, the house is right across the street from the ocean. Tiny Renovated Montauk Home Is Your Perfect Beach Getaway For $949K

Located at 36 Cranberry Road in the Culloden Shores neighborhood of Montauk, a tiny 935-square-foot home has just come on the market for $949,000. The renovated home is completely up to date with wood floors throughout, a fireplace in the living room, sliding glass doors that lead outside, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, an open floorplan, and a pergola-covered deck outside. As it stands right now, the house has two bedrooms and one bathroom, but the listing claims that there are permits in place for the home to be expanded to a three-bedroom, two-bath. Residents will have private beach access. Compass agent James Lancaster represents the listing. [Compass]

Contract Signed on $10M Further Lane Home In East Hampton

The home at 80 Further Lane in East Hampton is known for being the most expensive foreclosure in the Hamptons when it sold for over $12 million back in 2015. At the time, over $10.5 million was owed on the property. Then, in May of 2017, the home went back on the market for $14,595,000. Since then, the price has decreased, last asking $9.9 million. And earlier this week, a contract was signed on the south-of-the-highway mansion. Originally built in 1999, the 8,900-square-foot home has nine bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms, sited on nearly 2 acres of land. Features include eight fireplaces, a finished lower level with a wet bar, and a heated gunite pool and cabana outside. Compass Real Estate agent Evan Kulman represents the sellers. [Compass]
