Stunning Bridgehampton Manse Seeks $11.5M

Located at 944 Mecox Road in south-of-the-highway Bridgehampton this incredible 10,000-square-foot mansion is on the market for $11.5 million. The home was designed by architect Eric Woodward, built by Michael Davis, and the interiors were done by Alexa Hampton. With six ensuite bedrooms, the house has a lot to offer — including a library, a sunroom, a state-of-the-art eat-in kitchen, radiant heated flooring in all of the bathrooms, six wood-burning fireplaces, and a finished lower level. The master suite includes a sunroom and a large walk-in closet and dressing room. Outside, the 0.92-acre plot is host to a gunite pool and a three-story guest house ith two additional bedrooms. Built in 2010, the home last sold the same year for $8.45 million. According to the Zillow price history, the estate was listed for sale back in July of 2018 for $19.95 million. We think that after the most recent price cut, potential buyers are going to start biting. Sotheby’s agent Beate Moore represents the listing. [Sotheby’s]

Amagansett’s Butterfly House Sells For $5.5M

The Butterfly House located at 163 Atlantic Avenue in Amagansett was designed by the award-winning architect Francois de Menil and built by Ed Bulgin using eco-friendly materials. The 0.33-acre property — which is located right near the ocean and backs up onto Atlantic Avenue Town Park — last sold in 2006 for $1.8 million, and the stunning residence was built in 2010. The Zillow price history shows that the home went on the market for $6.5 million in May before the price was cut to the most recent $5.8 million in October. The contract was signed less than two weeks after the price was changed, and the sale closed earlier this week for $5,525,000. New homeowners will enjoy a comfortable 1,900 square feet of living space, three beds, two baths, a great room with sliding glass doors that lead outside, an enclosed sunroom, and an outdoor shower. The property doesn’t have a pool, but the listing claims that there is room to add one. Enzo Morabito from Douglas Elliman represented the listing. [Douglas Elliman]
