The Butterfly House located at 163 Atlantic Avenue inAmagansett was designed by the award-winning architect Francois de Menil andbuilt by Ed Bulgin using eco-friendly materials. The 0.33-acre property —which is located right near the ocean and backs up onto Atlantic Avenue TownPark — last sold in 2006 for $1.8 million, and the stunning residence wasbuilt in 2010. The Zillow price history shows that the home went on the marketfor $6.5 million in May before the price was cut to the most recent $5.8million in October. The contract was signed less than two weeks after the pricewas changed, and the sale closed earlier this week for $5,525,000. Newhomeowners will enjoy a comfortable 1,900 square feet of living space, threebeds, two baths, a great room with sliding glass doors that lead outside, anenclosed sunroom, and an outdoor shower.
