Pondfront Georgica Property on Briar Patch Road Sells

Located on Georgica Pond in the estate section of East Hampton Village, the property at 106 Briar Patch Road has sold and closed. Last asking price was $8,995,000. Originally asking $12 million when it came on the market in the spring of 2017, a buyer signed a contract back in May 2018. The nearly 2-acre property has a 2,476-square-foot home on the property that was built back in 1970, but the house needs some updates. Features include four bedrooms, three baths, an open floor plan, walls of windows, and a waterside deck with sunset views out to Georgica Pond. There’s room for a pool and poolhouse on the property. Sotheby’s agents Frank Newbold and Valerie Smith represented the listing, but Brian Hagadorn from Douglas Elliman brought the buyer. [Sotheby’s]

Historic East Hampton Home With Connection to Jackie O. Lists

The Abraham Baker House in East Hampton — which was formerly the clubhouse of the East Hampton Riding Club where Jackie Kennedy Onassis learned to ride horses as a young girl — has come on the market for $2.29 million. Located at 9 Cross Highway, the property spans 0.8 acres of land and is host to the historic three-bedroom home originally built in 1745. In 1924, the RCEH purchased the house and made it into their clubhouse. Features include a working fireplace, original hardwood floors, and the original riding lockers. The nearly 300-year-old home is one of just 15 properties in East Hampton that’s a Special Historic Landmark, and the Town is actually allowing a second dwelling or guest house to be built on the property. So, the new owner could have a piece of history with presidential ties and live in a new construction right next to it. Saunders agent Jackie Lowey represents the listing. [Saunders]

A Stunning Oceanfront Modern in East Quogue Sells for $4M

The gorgeous oceanfront home at 73 Dune Road in East Quogue originally came on the market back in September 2017 for $4.6 million. After two years on the market, the house has sold for the relatively close price of $4,037,500. Sited on 0.68 acres of land, the modern home includes a comfortable 2,216 square feet, four bedrooms, two and a half baths, walls of windows with ocean views, hardwood floors, and open floor plan, a fireplace in the living room, and a rooftop deck with a hot tub. The stunning residence is perfect for people who want to escape to the East End — being located in East Quogue means the commute from the city will be easier; it has a desirable 90 feet of ocean frontage; and with a reasonable 2,000 square feet, the home is going to be a little more low-maintenance than the oceanfront mansions that we typically see in the Hamptons.
