Harvey Weinstein’s Amagansett Home Sold at Deep Discount

We reported back in the relatively halcyon days of September – before the Hollywood legend’s undoing – that he and his wife (Remember her?) had reduced the price from $13.5 M to $12.4 M. At the time they had also switched agencies from Corcoran to Sotheby’s.

Did we mention that the couple originally listed it for $17.5 M? Ah, the good old days. We then heard that he alone, no wife mentioned, had pulled the listing. Now news has surfaced that Weinstein has sold the 9,000-square-foot manse for $10 M. Talk about a fire sale. This is one burned seller.

We’re not sure why the purchaser of record – Taisho Holdings Inc., which may have a relationship with the international corporate giant Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., according to 27East – has a use for a home theater with a 20-foot-wide 3-D viewing screen and a wood-burning fireplace. But we’re sure that time will tell.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”21403″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”21404″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”21405″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”21406″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_column_text]Photos courtesy Google Maps & Sotheby’s[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
