South Florida Market Off to a Strong Start in 2023

South Florida’s luxury real estate market is predicted to have another strong year and the area continues to be a sunny haven for homeowners looking for great weather and access to an exciting arts and culture scene. While the rest of the country may be piled under layers of snow, the only thing South Floridians have to shovel is the sand on our beautiful beaches. This month, we’re taking a look at a record-breaking condo sale in Palm Beach, a stunning Miami sale overlooking Biscayne Bay, and several standout listings, including a new build and several waterfront properties!

Palm Beach Prime
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft rang in the new year with a record-setting $23.8 million dollar condo purchase. The oceanfront penthouse at 110 Sunset Ave, Palm Beach is a four-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bedroom stunner designed by famed architect Maya Lin and comes with a 1,300 sq.ft. terrace. The purchase is the priciest condo sale on Palm Beach Island, and the sellers were represented by Dana Koch and Paulette Koch of The Corcoran Group. “It’s a ‘wow’ penthouse apartment, and there’s nothing quite like it from a size and scale perspective,” Dana Koch says. “The direct ocean panoramic views are unrivaled. These kinds of apartments are a rarity in Palm Beach, and that’s why the property fetched a premium.”

For another exceptional waterfront view on Palm Beach Island, check out one of the latest listings from Christian Angle Real Estate located at 1010 N. Lake Way, Palm Beach. The five-bedroom, four-bathroom residence is listed at $38 million, and the elegant home has a deep water dock and an expansive backyard with a swimming pool. The property is only minutes away from West Palm Beach’s attractions like the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and The Square, a buzzy retail and restaurant district.

And if privacy is a priority, 302 Via Linda is a turnkey home listed at $19.995 million by Cristina Condon and Kevin Condon of Sotheby’s International Realty. Fully renovated and completed in 2020, the Henry Harding Regency-style home sits on over a third of an acre on Palm Beach Island and features four ensuite bedrooms and an open living room with a fireplace. Outside, there are two entertaining spaces around a sparkling pool and the addition of a covered dog run is great for pet owners.

Down in Miami, the real estate market is still seeing very high demand. Recently sold and closed for $16.7 million by the Alexander Team at OFFICIAL, 247 E. Rivo Alto Drive is a contemporary home with resort-style amenities. Completed in 2021, the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home features a cocktail bar, expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and a stunning pool and spa, clad in Statuario marble that overlooks Biscayne Bay. Nestled on Rivo Alto Island, the most desirable of Miami Beach’s Venetian Islands, the property also features a third-floor rooftop deck that’s perfect for entertaining in style. The Alexander Team represented both buyer and seller.

Another highly sought-after neighborhood in Miami is Coral Gables. Filled with historic landmarks, high-end shopping, and world-class art museums, Coral Gables is the grand dame of Miami neighborhoods.
