The Modern Barn® Book

He dreamed about how to reach the most efficient combination of fenestration to achieve the most luxurious space he knew people wanted.  As the President of Plum Builders he built many houses for architects and their clients to the specifications of others.  In 2008 he built the first house which focused on The Modern Barn® room….it had great communal space for casual get-togethers, it functioned well for both a single couple or a large group, and made welcoming nature and the light that came through the many windows and doors, the stuff of luxury.  That became the heart of The Modern Barn®.  The next time Al built The Modern Barn®, he applied the bright white palette traditional in beach homes to the familiar shape of the Long Island barn.

The Modern Barn® book published this summer tells the story of the positive influence of great open space and how much pleasure there is to enjoy.
