The two-acre spread on Pleasant Lane with a 15,700-square-foot, 9-bedroom, house had asked $32 million in 2016. He purchased the property for $10.26 M in 2014.

The house, with interiors by Achille Salvagni – who was in charge of everything from curtains to art – included all furnishings in the listing. The architect of record is the late Francis Fleetwood.

Among the home’s many features are a two-bedroom guest apartment, dance studio! (care to do the Lambada, anyone?) and wine cellar, which we imagine would have been filled with plenty of chianti if the owner had ever lived in the home. Instead, he moved into a waterfront property he bought afterward.

The grounds include a heated Gunite pool, pool house, sunken all-weather tennis court and patios.

Harald Grant of Sotheby’s brought the buyer. Listing agents were Erica Grossman and Michaela Keszler of Elliman.
