Relaxed Luxury

Jessica Kamel, founder of interior design firm Ronen Lev, had many tricks up her sleeve for this roomy yet cozy Amagansett abode.

First, she created “breakout spaces” — including a second-story front deck, mahogany rear deck and bluestone patio — where intimate groups can gather to socialize.

Next, she warmed up all the glass — Think 20-foot high windows in the central atrium — with oodles of cedar in a “nod to the local vernacular.” The textured wood lines the floors and ceiling and is paired with steel on the staircase, for “a sense of casual sophisticated softness.” The stairway was designed by the project’s architect, Steve Schroeder, and builder, Mark Cardone of Newmark Custom Homes.

The materials “are a large part of why the home feels instantly familiar

and comfortable as soon as you step inside the door,” says Kamel. “They ground the design in relaxed luxury. The house needed to feel stylish but unpretentious.”[/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”18987″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”18989″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”18990″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”18991″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”18992″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”18993″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”normal”][vc_single_image image=”18994″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_column_text]
