‘Sex and the City’ Returns with a New Book Set in the Hamptons

We were all upset to hear that there wasn’t going to be a third Sex and the City movie despite Sarah Jessica Parker’s vocal efforts, but fans should be pleased to hear that Candace Bushnell (AKA the real-life Carrie Bradshaw) is writing a new book that takes place, not in the city, but rather a two-hour drive east in the Hamptons.

Is There Still Sex In The City? is set to release on August 6 of this year.

Bushnell, a Sag Harbor resident, announced earlier this week that the novel will focus on women her age. The synopsis describes it as a “new book on the wilds and lows of sex and dating after fifty.”

According to the New York Post, readers will experience Bushnell’s signature story-telling style head-on as the book starts out with a laser vaginal tightening treatment. And honestly, it just doesn’t get more SATC than that.
