Southampton Village Home with Sports Connection Wants $4.65M

A gorgeous Southampton village home that dates back to 1913 and was fully renovated in 2003 has come on the market with a $6.45 million asking price. According to Behind the Hedges, the home once belonged to the Lillywhite family, which is the same family that owned the Harry Lillywhite & Son Sporting Goods store that was in the village for over a century up until 2001.

The Lillywhite family was also involved in the development of the Meadow Club’s famous grass tennis courts, and have been featured at the Southampton Historical Museum for their influence on the East End. Their company is still up and running in the UK.

The shingled home at 121 Toylsome Lane spans a comfortable 3,200 square feet in size with six bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and one half-bath between three legal levels. Features include a double-length living room with French doors leading outside, a covered porch, and a gourmet kitchen. Meanwhile, outside the 0.62-acre property offers a heated gunite pool and a pool house.
