First Major Food Group Branded Residential Experience.
Villa Miami stands as a testament to what can be achieved when industry leaders join forces. Terra, helmed by CEO David Martin, is known for its collaborations with Pritzker Prize-winning architects, continually setting new benchmarks in luxury living. One Thousand Group, co-founded by Kevin Venger, Louis Birdman, and Michael Konig, is celebrated for iconic projects like the One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects. Together, these powerhouses have created a residential masterpiece that redefines opulence.
Adding to the allure of Villa Miami is Major Food Group (MFG), the culinary giant behind renowned establishments like CARBONE and ZZ’s Club. The project marks the first residential venture for this hospitality brand co-founded by Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, and Rich Torrisi.
“This partnership has been especially groundbreaking thanks to MFG’s distinguished understanding of consumer needs and the creation of an aspirational lifestyle. This team unites the most brilliant minds in hospitality, design, and cuisine to curate homes and make strategic design and operational decisions to create an unparalleled residential experience. Our buyers are very excited to have a fully integrated, services lifestyle from a brand that they know and trust,” said David Martin.
The interior design of Villa Miami is led by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., renowned for her work with high-profile clients like Sony Music, Goop, and celebrities such as George and Amal Clooney, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, and David and Victoria Beckham. As the former design director of Soho House, Charles brings a wealth of experience in creating luxurious yet deeply personal spaces. The building’s stunning location, sitting on the bay’s edge, formed the basis of Charles & Co’s design inspiration, where the notion of waterfront city living brought up thoughts of cosmopolitan European destinations like Venice and the romance of the French Riviera. The design was heavily inspired by some of the most iconic villas of great Italian architects.
Mario Carbone of Major Food Group brings his culinary mastery to the design of the residential kitchens, marking a unique collaboration between a hospitality genius and an interior designer. Carbone’s passion for cooking and experience in some of the world’s top dining destinations ensure that the kitchens at Villa Miami are both beautiful and highly functional.
“As we continued building restaurants, our company has always had a strong interest in expanding into real estate and hotels as another avenue to express our unique hospitality style — starting with the Newbury Hotel in Boston. This marks the next natural step and evolution for MFG. The arrival of Villa Miami signifies the beginning of a new chapter for Edgewater. Edgewater represents the future of the city and the increasingly global community of residents who call it home. The MFG philosophy and lifestyle will be deeply rooted in the building and accessible to residents — opulence that extends beyond food and beverage experiences to include waterfront access, beautifully appointed gyms and spas, and meticulously designed chef’s kitchens,” says Mario Carbone, Co-Founder of Major Food Group.
Villa Miami presents a residents-only members club, which encompasses the full amenity suite offerings and exclusive Major Food Group-curated private club lifestyle that cater to the most discerning residents. The building features a state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, and a rooftop pool with stunning views of Biscayne Bay. Major Food Group has meticulously developed the luxury hospitality experience at Villa Miami, with resident-only lounges, bars, and restaurants exuding the company’s signature style of decadence and white-glove service.
Spanning 56 stories plus helipad, Villa Miami features a 649-foot-tall crystalline tower with a striking copper-colored exoskeleton. Designed by Kurt Dannwolf of O’Donnell Dannwolf & Partners (ODP Architects), the tower’s architecture offers a unique visual appeal that stands out in Miami’s skyline. Each of the 70 full- and half-floor residences boasts 360-degree views of Biscayne Bay and the city, allowing residents to experience Miami’s beauty from every angle.
