Party at the Paramount

The old Paramount Theatre Building is old no longer — the plaza is reawakening its former glory with new shops, revitalized energy, and an up-and-coming but authentically Palm Beach scene thanks to longtime locals. You’ll always be able to shop high-end designer stores on Worth Avenue and South County Road and at the Royal Poinciana Plaza, but venture north to the Paramount to see what’s hip, fresh, and happening on the island.

Chik Monk Coffee
Chik Monk opened up shop at the Paramount before it was cool, and a unique experience awaits here. Chik Monk is one of the few places you’ll find that serves farmer-owned, Indian specialty coffee in the United States; the coffee is imported directly from the owners’ family estates in Chikmagalur, India. Look for hints of spice and citrus as you sip. chikmonk.com

Coniglio Palm Beach
After years in New York’s fashion world, born-and-raised Palm Beacher Christina Coniglio returned to chart her own course in the form of Coniglio Palm Beach, the free-spirited designer’s own clothing label with a studio and boutique that turns every weekend at the Paramount into a party. Go for a barefoot, carefree, unbuttoned take on Palm Beach — imbued with a nostalgia for what Coniglio calls “original island energy” — plus laid-back free-size clothing to fit all shapes and sizes of women (and men, too).

Yoga Society
Anyone who has attended a (very sweaty) yoga class at Yoga Society’s Clematis Street location in West Palm Beach will be delighted to experience their new Palm Beach outpost, where daily power vinyasa sessions dominate the schedule alongside yin and vinyasa flow classes.

More to Peruse
The French Wine Merchant is an established Paramount Building tenant, and worth a stop to sip and shop for renowned French varietals. Art aficionados should also make time to peek into Oditto Gallery, where every art piece comes with an NFT, and DAKKARA Art Gallery, where a collection of mainly Asian historically influential and emerging artists are showcased.
