Must Have Fixtures and Fittings

Black is the New Black
The Purist kitchen faucet from Kohler pairs a classic bridge design with modern touches and a stylish matte black finish. “Matte Black has been gaining popularity because of its distinctive but understated modern look that creates a stunning contrast with most other colors and backdrops. It can elevate the faucet to become the focal point of the room.”
– Mirjam Lippuner, Associate Manager, Kitchen & Bath PR, Kohler

Shade Of Gray
This chic hanging shade from English Country Home in Bridgehampton was designed by Alexa Hampton and is “perfect for lighting over a kitchen island.” Available in polished nickel (seen here), antique brass and bronze.

It’s A Wrap
“There’s nothing like wrapping yourself in a heated towel.” Especially if the towel rack is made from recyclable steel. From the Jeeves collection at Amba Products and available at Green Art Plumbing Supply in Southampton.”
– Gina Hickey, Showroom Specialist, Green Art Plumbing Supply

Kitchen Hoodie
This Range Hood was designed by Bakes & Kropp, the Hamptons premier kitchen design and cabinetry company. Bakes says the firm began designing its own hoods when he couldn’t find any on the market he liked. They now have about 10 styles from a traditional barrel-fronted hood with polished or brushed metal banding to a more contemporary linear style as shown here. “The concept behind the hood designs is complete custom, resulting in an infinite range of shapes and finishes.” Metal options include brushed and polished chrome, copper or nickel.
– Robert Bakes, Bakes & Kropp Fine Cabinetry

Polished Prop
Reminiscent of the wood propellers on WWI-era planes, the Aviation Ceiling Fan from Minka Aire Fans sports an extremely efficient motor and three curved 60-inch blades, which come in multiple finish combinations. “This one is elegant without being too slick, modern without being corny, the right size and shape, and does the job functionally.” Available at Elizabeth Dow Home in East Hampton.
– Ed Krug, Principal, Rennew Properties Design & Build
