Douglas Elliman Honors Top Agents in The Hamptons

On March 15th, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, the nation’s fourth-largest residential real estate brokerage company, announced the firm’s world-class agents in the Hamptons in preparation for its annual awards event – The Ellies. The event, which will be held in early April in Montauk, will honor top performers in the Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Hampton Bays, Montauk, Quogue, Sag Harbor, Sagaponack, Southampton and Westhampton Beach offices. Nationwide, Douglas Elliman’s total sales volume was $26.1 billion, up 6 percent.  In the Hamptons, Douglas Elliman’s already dominant market share saw a nearly 20-percent jump in volume over 2016 figures. Elliman represented three of the top five recorded transactions on the East End last year; and our offices west of the Shinnecock Canal closed nearly $312 million in business, which comprised more sales volume for that area than our next four highest competitors combined.

“Thanks to their hard work and dedication, our agents have once again enjoyed a tremendous year in the Hamptons,” said Howard M. Lorber, chairman of Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC. “Through their efforts, Douglas Elliman has seen impressive growth as we continue to be a leading force in luxury real estate in the Hamptons and throughout the country.” In the Hamptons, the Top Individual prize based on GCI was awarded to Erica Grossman from the Southampton office.  Additional individuals recognized by GCI were Michaela Keszler (#2), Lynda Packard (#3), Terry Thompson (#4), Christopher Stewart (#5), Aaron Curti (#6), Yorgos Tsibiridis (#7), Carol Nobbs (#8), David Donahue (#9) and Erin Downey (#10).

The Hamptons award for Top Team by GCI went to The Enzo Morabito Team of the Bridgehampton office. Other Top 5 Teams by GCI in the Hamptons included Atlantic Team (#2), The Raphael Avigdor Team (#3), Nigro Team (#4) and The Porto Team (#5).  The Enzo Morabito Team was named the Top Performer (individual or team) by number of transactions for the Hamptons followed by Atlantic Team (#2), The Porto Team (#3),  Terry Thompson (#4), Angelica Cocha (#5), The Raphael Avigdor Team (#6), Christopher Stewart (#7), Aaron Curti (#8), Elizabeth Capozzoli (#9) and Yorgos Tsibiridis (#10). Angelica Cocha, who is based in the Hampton Bays office, was named Elliman’s Rookie of the Year for the Hamptons. The prestigious Pinnacle Club Award winners, presented to agents and teams who made over $1 million in 2017, included Enzo Morabito Team, Erica Grossman, Atlantic Team, Michaela Keszler, The Raphael Avigdor Team, Lynda Packard, and Terry Thompson.

“In a year of incredible growth for Douglas Elliman in the region, it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate and identify the achievements of the individual agents who made it possible,” said Regional Vice President of Sales Carl Benincasa “Elliman dominated the Hamptons market in 2017 and the sky’s the limit in 2018.”  Sales volume for Douglas Elliman overall was $26.1 billion in 2017, an uptick from the $24.6 billion in 2016, an increase of 6 percent.  “I am incredibly proud of Carl Benincasa and our entire East End team,” said Scott Durkin, Douglas Elliman’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “This past year marked a new level of success and we look forward to continuing to provide all of our agents with the best in class technology, marketing and public relations to help them reach even greater heights in 2018.”
