Jerome Robbins’ Oceanfront Bridgehampton Home Sells For $12.5M

The oceanfront shingled cottage that was once the property of famed choreographer Jerome Robbins has sold and closed for $12.5 million. When it came on the market earlier this year in March, it was the first time that the property was available for sale in 40 years. The co-creator of “West Side Story” owned the home up until his death in 1998, at which point the title was transferred to the Jerome Robbins Foundation. Sited on an acre of oceanfront land, the existing cottage — originally built in 1950 — has 1,100 square feet of living space, two bedrooms, and two and a half bathrooms, plus a wraparound deck, a stone fireplace, and ocean views from every room. However, we’re thinking that the house is going to be torn down to make room for a new-build. According to the Sotheby’s listing, zoning would allow for a home spanning up to 8,000 square feet in size. Sotheby’s International Realty agents Frank Newbold and Marilyn Clark represented the listing. All of the proceeds from the sale will go to the Jerome Robbins Foundation. A Cute Sag Harbor Cottage With Just 950 Sq. Ft. Is Yours For $850K

The tiny and quaint home at 26 Oak Drive in Sag Harbor has just come on the market for $850,000, and it’s the perfect option for someone looking for a low-maintenance East End home. The humble abode is just 950 square feet in size with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Features include an open floor plan to maximize the limited square footage, a large island in the kitchen, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and a recently renovated bathroom. Sited on just 0.2 acres of land there may not seem like there’s a whole lot of room to do anything with the lot, but the listing does say that there is room for a pool. Outside, there’s a garage. According to the Zillow price history, the home was last purchased in 2017 for $767,500. Residents will be about 3 miles west of Sag Harbor shops and restaurants. Compass Real Estate agent Adriel Reboh represents the listing. [Compass]

Hampton Jitney Owner’s Quogue Home Sells

Missy Lynch, the owner of Hampton Jitney, listed her waterfront Quogue home for sale back in June of 2018. After a year and a half on the market, the home has sold. Last asking $5,395,000, the property was originally listed for a slightly higher $5,759,000 when it came on the market. Sited on a comfortable 5.2 acres of land, the home spans over 8,000 square feet in size and is host to six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Built in 1990, features include three fireplaces, an eat-in kitchen, an open floor plan, a wraparound porch, a double-height living room, and a guest suite with a private entrance. Outside, there’s a heated gunite pool and there are dock permits already in place. Located at 32 Penniman Point Road, new residents will be about a 2-mile drive from the ocean at the Quogue Beach Club. Corcoran Group agents Nancy Heaney and David Cox represented the listing.
