Largest Hamptons House on Market for $34.95M

Summerhouse, a new edifice in Southampton has the bragging rights to “largest house currently for sale in the Hamptons.” At 23,000 square feet, the structure is even bigger than La Dune, the Gin Lane property on the market for $145M. La Dune, which includes a guest house in its measurements, clocks in at a mere $22,000 square feet. Coincidentally, both properties are listed with Harald Grant of Sotheby’s.

Summerhouse, located at 6 Olde Towne, is the latest offering of developer John Kean of Kean Development, known for his uber-luxurious properties. The 9-bedroom, 9-bath (and 4 half baths) house is typical of a Kean project. While the exterior has an old-world shingled feel — replete with an extensive loggia with retractable automatic screens — the interior has everything today’s high-end buyer demands from a sauna to an elevator.
