When he’s not busy co-anchoring New York’s CBS News from 4:30 am – 7:00 am, you’ll find charismatic Chris Wragge hanging at his stunning new Bridgehampton home— and running triathlons, spinning, cheering on the Giants, feasting on pasta dinners, or lending a hand to the many charitable causes he supports! Showcase contributing editor & KDHamptons founder, Kelli Delaney Kot, chats with Chris about his laid-back East End lifestyle.
“There’s nothing better than being at the beach in Bridgehampton. From April to November my feet are in this sand!” Its been a turbulent off-season for this intrepid newsman, “Since late October, my attention has been zeroed in on the devastation of Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath. For all major weather events from Hurricane Irene, to Sandy, to the Nemo blizzard, I’m behind the wheel of Mobile2. When Mother Nature is raging, we offer the greatest technology on TV. I grew up on the Jersey Shore, and sadly it will never be the same. We’re so fortunate that our Hamptons beaches sustained less damage.”
Hoping for a weekend Wragge sighting? Get up early! Chris reveals, “Who can FULLY enjoy a Hamptons weekend without a little Soul Cycle at ‘The Barn’ in Bridgehampton to start the day? When it comes to dining out, my favorite spot is Topping Rose, or Tutto Il Giorno in Sag Harbor. Even in the colder months, you can’t stop me from dropping in to order up their delicious Rigatoni— a portion and a half! After dinner, I always spend a few minutes chatting with Maurizio, or Fabrice behind the bar. #THEBEST”
