It’s beginning to look a lot like the celebrating season here in the Hamptons, especially for those who are used to the spotlight.

Musical types are surely abuzz with recent Grammy news. Of this year’s selected talent, several of the more successful acts that have been nominated for the 60th Grammy Awards have solid East End connections.

East Hampton’s Shawn Carter, otherwise known as Jay-Z, leads the pack with a whopping eight nominations this year. The rapper-turned-music mogul has gotten nods for his latest, “4:44.” Jay’s most recent, and super uplifting, efforts are up for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Rap Album.

Justin Bieber’s super catchy remix of “Despacito,” which is up for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, has kept him out of trouble and into some Latin-rap-inspired street cred. Lady Gaga has a “Million Reasons” to win for Best Pop Solo Performance and is also up for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Joanne.” For that one she’ll be competing against Coldplay’s and East Hampton’s Chris Martin, whose “Kaleidoscope” is also up for the award.

For those of us who are more into the tried-and-true, Sag Harbor’s own Billy Joel is one of the many artists featured on “Tony Bennett Celebrates 90,” which is up for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. And East Hampton’s Jerry Seinfeld made the Grammy cut, even if it’s not for his singing. His funny stuff on “Jerry Before Seinfeld,” which is about growing up on Long Island, got the nod for Best Comedy Album.

New Yorkers are in luck this year as the show will be held on the east coast this year instead of Los Angeles, where it’s been for the past 15 years. The awards ceremony will be held on January 28 at Madison Square Garden.

A bit more on our favorite Piano Man, whose request to renovate his buoy-covered home was turned down by the Sag Harbor Village Zoning Board of Appeals, but whose career continues to soar. Apparently, Mr. Joel is a big inspiration for comic book aficionado and “Arrow” showrunner Marc Guggenheim, whose been a fan since he was a kid growing up on Long Island. So much so that five seconds of footage from one of Joel’s 2015 Nassau Coliseum concerts recently appeared during the “Thanksgiving” episode of the comic television show. That’s cool.

Someone else who happens to dabble in all sorts of enterprises is Martha Stewart. The lifestyle maven, who makes one of her beautiful homes in East Hampton, has all sorts of hot stuff happening. Right now she’s got a new cookbook out, “Martha Stewart’s Slow Cooker,” a new skincare collection with Mario Badescu on QVC and a Martha’s Holiday Cook Box kit, via Marley Spoon. Not to mention the former stockbroker’s other businesses—chiefly Martha Stewart Omnimedia and Martha Stewart Living magazine plus appearances on a number of television shows, including her own, etc. And don’t forget, there’s her second season of “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” with rapper Snoop Dogg on VH1. Whew! That’s one busy lady with a whole lot to celebrate.

Whilst on the subject of multi-hyphenate lifestyle mavens, Sag Harbor’s Luann de Lesseps (remember, the former nurse-turned-model-turned-“The Real Housewives of New York City” personality also wrote a book on the subject, which was titled “Class with the Countess: How to Live with Elegance and Flair”) has a new gig. Her brand-new bedding line, The Countess Collection, debuted at Ross Stores this fall. Good for you Lu!
