East Hampton’s Apaquogue House Lists for the First Time in 100 Years

The iconic shingled Apaquogue House in East Hampton has just come on the market for the first time in 100 years — and it’s yours for $16.9 million.

Built in 1884, the house spans a massive 10,000 square feet with 16 bedrooms and seven full bathrooms between four levels of living space. According to the Sotheby’s listing, the summer colony residence was “East Hampton’s first boarding house.” Features include a wraparound porch, period details, three fireplaces, and even distance ocean views.

New owners could either update the existing home or tear it down. If the gorgeous shingled home is torn down, the 4-acre property could host a brand new 10,550-square-foot home with a finished basement, pool, and tennis court.

Located in the Georgica section of East Hampton at 72 Apaquogue Road, residents will be just a half-mile from the ocean at Georgica Beach.
